Research said people were having better luck with this eBay H4 harness than the Putco harness, and at $19 I figured it might be worth a shot. But that box, though...
This tag is pretty awesome, too.
It looks to be assembled well, at least, and it has ceramic H4 connectors, which sure seems like a good idea.
Yes, I do keep a fire extinguisher in my Jeep. Why do you ask?

“Yes, I do keep a fire extinguisher in my Jeep. Why do you ask?”
Not sure why you would, that circuit has already got the function of protection, what more do you need?

After my MJ’s switch set itself on fire (literally, I had to disassemble the dash to blow it out) I put my own harness together.
http://jeep-xj.info/HowtoHeadlightLoom.htm
It cost a bit more, but given I used 10awg wire for all the lines with load and 14awg for the trigger wires, (way overkill for stock lights) the harness would support over 150W per bulb. But after I got the harness in, the improvement in light from the harness alone means I still haven’t bother upgrading the lights, several years later.

I installed it last night after I made this post... My headlights have instantly gone from completely dangerous to quite adequate. I may just sick with the old sealed beams, too.
